You kind of knew this one was coming. Enzo Amore won the Cruiserweight Title at “No Mercy 2017” and quickly established himself as the top star in the division. He brings a star power to the division that no one else has been able to do and that means good things for both the title and “205 Live”. However, he needs someone to challenge him for the title, which he now has.
As announced on WWE.com, Amore will defend his title against Kalisto at “Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2017”. Kalisto is the only member of the division who is allowed to have a title shot at this point after the rest attacked Amore during his championship celebration. This caused them to all be subject to a clause stating that anyone who attacked Amore would lose any future title shots.
Here’s how Kalisto looks as a cruiserweight:
Kalisto joins the Cruiserweight division: Raw, Oct. 2, 2017
Opinion: This was hardly the biggest surprise in the world and there’s nothing wrong with that. Amore needs a first victim and giving Kalisto the shot makes as much sense as anything else. At some point they’ll have to come up with a way to bring in the rest of the division but for now, this is as good of an idea as they have.
Who do you think wins this match? If Kalisto doesn’t take the title off of Amore, who will? Let us know in the comments below.
