He’ll be gone. Wrestlers have a long history of attempting to break into the world of acting with limited results. This weekend at AEW All Out, Maxwell Jacob Friedman defeated Daniel Garcia. Following the match, Garcia gave Friedman a middle rope piledriver, as he had been promising to do. According to Ibou of WrestlePurists by way of Cagesideseats.com, Friedman is set to take a leave from AEW to film a movie and the angle was used to write him off of television. There is no word on what the movie is or how long Friedman will be gone.

Friedman is a star in AEW. Check out what he has done in the company:

Opinion: Friedman is the latest wrestler to try his hand at acting and I’m sure he won’t be the last. There is always the chance that this is some low level movie or even a small part, but it certainly could be a foot in the door for Friedman as he tries to make something of acting. It would be hard to imagine him leaving wrestling and odds are he won’t, but at least he is giving this a try.

What do you think of Friedman’s time in AEW? Who do you want him to face when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
