He’s out. There are all kinds of stables and factions in wrestling today and it can be a major moment when one of the teams gains a new member. At the same time, it can be an even bigger deal when someone leaves one of the teams. That was the situation again this week and it came in a way that was so violent that the promotion is not willing to let you see it again.

This weekend at AEW All Out, Bryan Danielson successfully defended the AEW World Title against Jack Perry. Following the match, Killswitch came to the ring but Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club teammates chased him off. The Club then turned on Danielson, with only Wheeler Yuta not attacking him. This included Jon Moxley, who has not been seen with the team since his his return, wrapping a plastic bag around Danielson’s head to attempt to smother him. AEW has stated on Twitter that they will not release the footage due to its violent nature.

Opinion: This is certainly a different way to go and Danielson instantly has a group of challengers coming after his title. It helps that it will be all the more personal, as Danielson has been a part of the team since its inception. This could go on for a long time, and it would not be surprising to see Danielson find some friends to help him against his newest enemies.
