Farewell. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the AEW roster but there are all several people who work backstage to make the company’s shows come together. Those are people who might be familiar names as well and occasionally do something on camera. Sometimes they do not have enough to do though, and now one of them is on his way out of the promotion after his deal expires.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: And New Times Two! Multiple New Champions Crowned At AEW Double Or Nothing

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, AEW’s Mark Henry announced that his deal with the company expires on May 28 and he will not be renewing his contract. Henry called the decision “mutual” and praised both Tony Khan and his time in AEW. Henry had worked as a backstage mentor and coach. He had also appeared as a broadcaster on some of AEW’s web series.

That’s a big one. Check out Henry’s time in AEW:

Opinion: This isn’t a bit surprise as Henry has not been featured on AEW programming in a long time. It also seems that both sides are ok with the relationship ending and that just happens occasionally. If Henry is not happy with how things are, it makes sense that he is walking away to do something else. His time there went well enough so now we get to see where he goes next.

What do you think of Henry’s time in AEW? Will he return to WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
