That’s not very long. AEW has quite the talented roster with a mixture of up and coming wrestlers, international stars and veterans who have been established for a very long time. The company owes a good deal of its success to those wrestlers and it can be a big hit when one of them leaves. While there is no guarantee of what will happen, one of the company’s biggest names has a contract coming up.

During an interview with The Wrestling Classics, AEW’s Bryan Danielson revealed that his current deal expires before All In on August 25. Danielson has announced that he will be retiring from full time competition this year, though he is expected to still work select matches. There is no word on what kind of a contract Danielson will sign with the company, assuming he re-signs whatsoever.

Opinion: I’m sure AEW is going to do whatever they can to keep Danielson and I would be surprised if the two sides could not come to some kind of a new deal. Danielson is one of the most valuable people on the AEW roster and if he wants to stay there in some kind of a role, he is likely to get what he wants. You do not see many stars at Danielson’s level and AEW seems to understand what they have with him.
