A New Way: AEW Makes Surprising Move With Huge (Literally) Name

That’s a new role. The biggest wrestling promotions in the world have all kinds of fans from around the world, though there are still several markets that can be expanded into even further. It makes sense for a promotion to try and do just that and you will often see special methods used in order to make it happen. That is we might be seeing again in a rather big way.

AEW has moved Satnam Singh from the active roster section of its website to its broadcasting section, with a new photo of Singh in a suit rather than wrestling gear. AEW has yet to announce a change in Singh’s status or where he would be broadcasting. Singh wrestled as early as this month and made his in-ring debut in June of 2022, wrestling mainly in tag matches since then.

Opinion: This is something that makes sense, if nothing else for the sake of opening up a bigger door to Indian audiences, assuming that is what AEW is trying. Singh has wrestled for about two years now and has not often been used in a major role. Maybe this is AEW trying to get something else out of him, which makes for quite the interesting change of pace.
