Samoa Joe has been the king of the wrestling world when it comes to rumors over the past couple of weeks. The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion departed the company after nearly 10 years working for Dixie Carter, and had several offers in front of him, one of which may have been from WWE.
However, Ring of Honor last week announced Joe’s return to the company via a video, and even confirmed some dates for him. It then sent out a press release, teasing his appearance for the upcoming “13th Anniversary Spectacular” pay-per-view.
According to the promotion’s official website now, however, Joe is officially advertised for the show.
“We have just received word that Samoa Joe will be in LIVE in Las Vegas at the Orleans Hotel & Casino this Sunday night.
He has something to say, and wants the world to hear it.”
Many within TNA were upset to see Joe leave the company, but it appears he will be on to a variety of new ventures. WWE is expected to maintain interest in bringing him into NXT, and he will likely stick with Ring of Honor for the time being.
Joe also made some headlines recently after his former foe CM Punk took to Twitter and teased one more confrontation between the two.
Editor’s Note
Smart move by the company to advertise him. I was worried it wouldn’t.
