The re-branded “Impact Wrestling” debuted on Destination America at the beginning of this year, and as noted, the network is already having regrets about the TNA product. Despite the fact the channel added a three-hour “pay-per-view,” it is said there are doubts within TNA the company will last much longer.
However, head of TNA Dixie Carter has reportedly told talent to ignore what they are hearing online, and the company is doing just fine.
According to PWInsider, Carter held a meeting with talent recently to tell them to not read or believe anything they read on “dirt sheets” related to poor ratings for “Impact.” She claimed websites do not publish full data, including that from the West Coast, and that she and her team are given more insight than what is made public.
Additionally, she reportedly said these sites do not include DVR ratings, which help boost numbers.
The report is the latest in what is becoming a saga of troubling news for TNA. It was noted recently Carter is very much focused on getting her own reality television program, with some rumblings claiming she may be in the running for “Real Housewives of Nashville.” Talent are also reportedly unhappy with the planned international tours being canceled, and are worried for what is ahead.
