The revolution is here. Last week on NXT, former AEW superstar Ricky Starks made his debut with the company, appearing in the crowd and cutting a promo. Tonight, he officially signed his contract with the company, taking a new name in the process.

In WWE, he will be known as Ricky Saints. You can see the contract signing below:

Starks had been with AEW since 2020 when he challenged Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship. He had been off television since March 2024, when he and Big Bill were defeated by Top Flight in what would be Starks’ final AEW match. He was released from his AEW contract on February 1o and appeared in NXT the next day.

He will make his official in-ring debut next week, in a match with Wes Lee.

Editor’s Opinion:

This is absolutely awesome for WWE. Starks was always one of my favorite performers in AEW, and I felt, like most AEW talent, his talent was vastly underutilized. He is going to do great things in the company and will have amazing feuds with the talent there. I can’t wait to see where this revolution takes us!
