Former TNA wrestler Samoa Joe made his first appearance in an ROH ring since 2008 at Ring of Honor’s “13th Anniversary” pay-per-view on March 1st.
He received a warm welcome from those in attendance at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He revealed that he was coming after the Ring of Honor World Championship, a belt he’s held once before.
Joe then finished off by saying, “I am pro wrestling,” before dropping the microphone and leaving the squared circle.
He even posed for a picture with Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels of The Addiction, as well as current IWGP Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles, prior to the show. Joe had worked with all three men during their time in TNA Wrestling.

Joe confirmed his departure from TNA on Feb. 17.
PWInsider.com reported that Joe was looking for a higher salary from the company, but TNA management was not willing to oblige.
Editor’s Note
Personally, I’m super excited to see Joe back in a ROH ring. His departure from TNA was long overdo. No rest for the weary, though. Looks like Joe is inserting himself right into the World Championship picture. Smart move. Jay Briscoe vs. Samoa Joe will be killer.
