For the fourth time, 10-time WWE and World Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be hosting NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on March 28, the day prior to WrestleMania 31. The announcement was made on Friday, March 13, by the two parties through social media platforms:

Rock joins the program in preparation for the launch of one of his latest film projects, “Furious 7.” The latest movie from the popular “Fast & Furious” series hits theaters on Friday, April 3. For the show, “Rocky” will be flanked by musical guest George Erza.
As noted, this will be the fourth time The Rock hosts the hit television show. He first hosted on March 18, 2000, a few weeks prior to WrestleMania 2000. Following that, Rock was called back for a show in April of 2002 and March of 2009.
Editor’s Note
With The Rock being in New York the day before WrestleMania 31, don’t expect him to appear on the show, or even have a role in festivities, like he did last year. Though, with him hosting “Saturday Night Live” the day before “The Show of Shows,” that should certainly give WWE somewhat of a boost, heading into its biggest show of the year.
