As the month of June rolls in, TNA is continuing work on one of its biggest annual events of the year, “Slammiversary.” This year’s “Slammiversary “pay-per-view will air on June 28 from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. The presumed main event for the show will see TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle put his title on the line against Ethan Carter III.
As TNA has done for the past three years, it has used “Slammiversary” to announce its annual TNA Hall of Fame Inductee. Later in the year, just before “Bound of Glory,” a ceremony will be held for the year’s inductee or inductees. According to PWInsider, TNA pitched an offer to one of its former stars, AJ Styles, for a 2015 TNA Hall of Fame Induction.
Around April or May, TNA pitched the idea to Styles, but he reportedly turned them down. Styles, the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, is said to have rejected the offer due to his priorities being with New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor. In addition to being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, the company wanted Styles to wrestle one last match for the company, at either “Slammiversary” or “Bound for Glory.”
Editor’s Note
I wonder who TNA will try to induct instead of Styles.
