Last year, WWE had a fantastic idea of airing the “Beast in the East” live event from Japan on the WWE Network on July 4th. That was a very good show, which was highlighted by Finn Balor capturing the NXT title.

This year, WWE is lucky enough that July 4th will fall on a Monday. Of course, that means WWE is going to have major plans for the July 4th edition of Monday Night Raw live from Columbus, Ohio.

According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, WWE has already announced a few matches for the night, and there are bound to be many more surprises revealed over the next week.

For example, a former SmackDown General Manager will appear to hype the brand split that will be roughly two weeks away.

Not only that, but there will be a 16-man Elimination Match with Team USA vs. Team International. The men in the match haven’t been revealed yet, but that’s going to be a fun match to see.

On the fourth of July, it is only fitting to have a United States title defense. Rusev will defend the US title against Titus O’Neil. That could be a situation where Titus walks out with the US Championship.

It’s important to note that the current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose is billed from Cinncinati, Ohio. It’s not exactly his hometown, but he’ll be getting a hometown welcome for sure as he faces The Miz in a non-title champion vs. champion match.

Are you excited to see July 4th’s edition of Monday Night Raw?
