The Dudley Boyz are one of the greatest tag teams in the history of the industry. That is beyond dispute.

Since their surprise return in August to WWE, they’ve been a constant on television by providing a strong veteran team to put over other teams. The Dudleys have done exactly that for The New Day, The Wyatt Family and others, but WWE has shown no interest in putting the Tag Team titles on them. However, WWE may have other plans for them soon.

Before anyone gets too upset at the idea, this news is only a potential idea and something that is only being discussed as of now. Having said that, there has been some talk of splitting up The Dudley Boyz.

What makes the idea plausible is the Bully Ray character in TNA that allowed Bubba Ray Dudley to become a major player in TNA and become a World Champion.

As of this writing, it’s just a pitched idea. WWE creative pitch ideas constantly and nothing could come of it. However, WWE has entertained bringing back the Bully Ray character to WWE before.

Anything can happen in WWE, but WWE would need to have a plan for the tag team division before they ever did something as radical as breaking up The Dudley Boyz.
