Last night on Monday Night Raw, Baron Corbin was set for a match with Damien Sandow, but Dolph Ziggler attacked The Lone Wolf before he could get down the entrance ramp.

Later on in the night, it was revealed that we’ll see Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler at “Payback” this Sunday and while it may not be the best match of the night, it’s a good feud that will help both guys.

Corbin vs. Ziggler has been a very simple feud that will benefit from a good match at a PPV. Baron Corbin is the young, brash, bully who is trying to make his name off Dolph Ziggler, and he is the veteran who will teach the youngster how to survive on the main roster.

It’s a very good feud dynamic, but it’s a little too predictable. After such a strong push for Corbin’s debut at Wrestlemania 32, it would be counterproductive for WWE to give Ziggler the win and risk Corbin’s momentum falling away at this vulnerable time in his career.

You never know, Ziggler could end up getting the surprising win and Baron reacts by laying him out. That’s a plausible result for the match, but WWE would be wise to catapult Corbin into something more important.
