Every year after Wrestlemania, there are always some cuts to the roster. It’s always unfortunate to see some of this talent go but in many cases, it’s for the best.

The following statement was sent out from WWE.com adding a few more talents to list of released talents for this year’s cuts:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstars Santino Marella, Cameron, Hornswoggle, Alex Riley, El Torito and Zeb Colter as of today, Friday, May 6, 2016. WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.”

We previous reported some of these names a little earlier, but now we can add Cameron, El Torito, and Santino Marella to the list.

El Torito’s release was expected after Los Matadores have been off television for quite some time and Primo and Epico are being repackaged with a new gimmick we’ve seen in vignettes.

Santino Marella was a popular superstar during his time, but he’s been retired from the ring for almost two years now, so his contract was for guest appearances and other roles.

Cameron’s release isn’t a surprise per say, but she was developing in NXT but hasn’t been featured heavily even on NXT or Total Divas, and the latter was her bread and butter for a few seasons.

Do you think WWE made a mistake releasing Santino Marella, El Torito, or Cameron?
