Tomorrow, the Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow comedy film Trainwreck is being released on Blu-ray and DVD. In that movie, John Cena had a role and a few funny scenes with Schumer as a possibly sexually confused, gym obsessed, overly nice guy that provided the foil for Schumer’s character to begin her arc.

What’s funny is Cena had to audition for the role just like everyone else and one of the features of the Blu-ray will be seeing Cena in his uncomfortable audition.

The full video can be seen below or right here.

John Cena’s performance included a sex scene, improvisation, and playing outside his usual character, but that was the challenge for Cena. The filmmakers had expressed interest in casting him, and he wanted to show that he was committed to doing something different.

Cena looks a little nervous in the audition, but his natural comedic talents came out to shine during his scenes in the film. Since taking the role in Trainwreck, Cena has gotten a similar role in the comedy Sisters starring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

While John Cena may have gotten his feet wet with WWE Studio’s The Marine or 12 Rounds. It seems Cena is a natural at comedy with the Apatow style. Stranger things have happened; it’s not crazy for Cena to get bigger roles in the future.
