There can be a misunderstanding when there is a report that WWE officials are “high” on someone. The assumption is that they’ve been selected as the next top guy, but in most cases, it just means WWE officials like what they see and you’ll be given a chance.

This week’s edition saw Roderick Strong emerge as Austin Aries’ tag team partner in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Aries and Strong were victorious over Tucke Knight and Otis Dozovic. It was a big night for Roderick Strong, and it’s just the beginning for him.

According to a report from Wrestlinginc.com, WWE officials are already high on Strong and were impressed with his debut this week. We can expect good things from him, and the team of Aries and Strong will be facing TM-61 in the next round of the tournament.

The former have the opportunity to go deep into the tournament. Aries and Strong are former members of Generation Next in Ring of Honor, so it’s only natural that the two men would be able to work well together as a team once again.

It’ll be interesting to see how Strong’s progression in NXT continues. He’s a good worker and his time in ROH proved that, so we’ll have to see if the NXT fans get behind him.
