Samoa Joe’s WWE run has continuously been derailed by a handful of injuries despite doing a great job building momentum. After a great showing against Brock Lesnar, he established himself as WWE’s “Destroyer.” Unfortunately, an injury put him on the shelf and he couldn’t capitalize. The same thing has happened after the rivalry with AJ Styles.
Joe vs. Styles was an entertaining and personal feud that cemented the former’s place as a main event player on SmackDown Live. However, it was reported that he has suffered another injury that could stall his WWE run again. According to a new update from Pro Wrestling Unlimited, Samoa Joe was seen wearing a walking boot recently backstage.

Last year, Joe suffered from a knee injury that required some light surgery. A walking boot means he’s suffering from either an ankle or foot injury right now, which makes sense because he had a similar problem earlier this year. There isn’t much information about how severe the injury is, but it’s not good for Joe to be out with another injury.
Since debuting on the main roster, Samoa Joe has been injury prone. That’s going to be a problem with WWE officials. The years of wear and tear on Joe’s body is the sacrifice you make after 15 years of wrestling. However, it will be difficult to convince WWE to put a championship or give him a huge push if Samoa Joe continues to come up injured.
A walking boot doesn’t seem like a serious thing since WWE officials didn’t take him off the road. Joe should be able to capitalize on the heat he built for himself during the feud with AJ Styles if he returns soon. He just needs to stay healthy heading into 2019 and big things will happen. Samoa Joe is too good and experienced to be held back by injuries.
