Recently, Charlotte did an interview with USA Today High School Sports promoting here triple threat match at Wrestlemania 32 this Sunday.

During that interview, she discussed her belief in the next era of women’s wrestling and that WWE should consider representing “Women’s Wrestling” with a new Women’s Championship.

Charlotte said the following during the interview which you can read right here.

“WHILE I’M HONORED TO HAVE THE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP, THIS IS 2016 — LET’S MAKE IT THE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. BUT I WILL BE PRIVILEGED TO REPRESENT WOMEN’S WRESTLING WITH A WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP OR THE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP.”

According to a report from Wrestlingnews.co, Charlotte could be getting her wish. The report is claiming that WWE has decided to drop the term “Divas” when referring to their female talent going forward and is looking to do a complete rebranding of the Divas division.

Apparently, WWE’s plans are to rebrand the division as the Women’s division, which will include a new Women’s Championship.

There is no confirmation because we don’t know who will be the “Divas” Champion after Wrestlemania and we don’t know if The Authority or Shane McMahon will be in charge, but the expectation is that it will be officially announced on the post-Mania episode of Raw.

Are you excited to see the “Divas division” be rebranded as the Women’s division?
