Back in April, it was rumored that Prince Puma of Lucha Underground and Ricochet of the Independent scene was negotiating with WWE and other promotions for a new deal.

The relationship between him and Lucha Underground officials has been strained. Now, it seems like both parties are ready to move on from one another.

According to a recent report from Wrestlezone.com, it’s being reported that Ricochet, or Prince Puma as he is known in Lucha Underground, is officially finished with the promotion after the last set of television tapings.

The material he has taped will carry through 2017 and the third season of Lucha Underground, but it is possible for things to change if there is a fourth season of the show.

There is a lot of speculation that Puma could end up in NXT or WWE. However, there is a lot of red tape to get around because the officials from Lucha Underground won’t allow it because of the terms of his deal.

It’s believed that he will be unable to work for other televised promotions until all the content he has filmed has aired on the El Rey Network. If WWE is to sign Ricochet, he wouldn’t be seen on WWE programming until 2017.

Do you think Ricochet should sign with WWE?
