Heading into “Hell in a Cell,” a lot of people were expecting Sasha Banks to defeat Charlotte inside “The Cell” and then move onto a long and prosperous run with the Raw Women’s title. However, Charlotte emerged victorious as”Hell in a Cell” concluded.

After Raw last night, Charlotte will be leading Team Raw into “Survivor Series” against Nikki Bella’s Team SmackDown, so the Raw Women’s title will be taking a backseat even though it seems like Bayley is the next big feud for Charlotte after that.

According to a report from RingSideNews, WWE officials originally planned for The Boss to retain the title against Charlotte on Sunday, but those plans were changed. Vince McMahon only decided their bout would main event the PPV on Saturday night.

Apparently, WWE officials changed their minds and Charlotte regained the title for a third time because they want to move forward with Sasha Banks versus Bayley. Their feud was rumored to be set for Wrestlemania 33, but it’ll likely happen much earlier.

It’s unclear how the Raw Women’s title picture will go over the coming months, but Bayley will be taking a much more active role in the title hunt moving forward.
