Paige’s personal life has been all over the news for several months now, and she hasn’t been on WWE programming since the end of June. A lot of people are curious why she is still employed with WWE considering all the trouble she’s in with the company.

Paige has three years left on her WWE contract, so it won’t expire until 2019. WWE would have already released her if it wasn’t for one thing. There is a specific reason why WWE is putting up with the negative press and issues that are coming with Paige.

According to a report from RingSideNews.com, Paige’s neck injury is the only thing that is keeping her employed by WWE. It’s an image thing because WWE doesn’t want to look bad by cutting her with a serious neck injury, especially if she needs surgery.

On paper, the earliest Paige could return to WWE programming is in December if she was one-hundred percent healthy, but a fusion neck surgery would cost her six months to a year of time. We may not see Paige inside a WWE ring until this time next year.
