Lana Reportedly Has Backstage Heat With WWE Again

In the months that Lana spent recovering from her wrist surgery, she got into a little bit of trouble with WWE for her behavior on social media. 

At the time, “The Rashing Russian” was already in hot water after her social media activity leaked the story that she and Rusev were engaged in real life. That went directly against kayfabe, so it was an appropriate time for her to get injured to let the situation go away.

When Lana returned to WWE at the end of November to reunite Lana and Rusev on WWE television again, it appeared as if all the smoke had cleared and Lana was back in WWE.

However, she has been noticeably absent from television for many weeks as Rusev became a part of the League of Nations stable. However, there is speculation that Lana’s absence is due to her possibly having some backstage heat on her again.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, he is reporting that, “Something happened where she said something. It’s probably nothing, but everybody’s talking about it,” Meltzer said. “Essentially she’s got the new round [of heat].”

 

That seems to be an unconfirmed report from Meltzer, but Lana hasn’t been used since returning, so the speculation on why she isn’t being used continues to swirl the rumor mill.
