Well, this would create a very interesting situation for NXT.

The current NXT Champion Finn Balor may have suffered some type of leg or ankle injury during last night’s NXT live event in Nashville, TN. Balor was in a match with Samoa Joe when he suffered the injury.

After the event, Balor was seen using crutches and not moving well on his own at all. He was also seen being loaded into a car with the assistance of others.

As of this writing, there is no word on how serious the injury is, or if this will effect the long term plans for Balor or the NXT Championship. However, there is another NXT live event tonight in Indianapolis. He is expected to work a match during the show, so there will be an update later on to see Balor’s injury status.

It would be a horrible thing to lose Balor for an extended amount of time with NXT Takeover: Dallas right around the corner, but there could be a lot of interesting twists in the NXT Championship being up for grabs.

Samoa Joe could claim it to have a dominate run in NXT before heading to the main roster. Sami Zayn could become the first ever two-time NXT Champion. Even someone fresh like Austin Aries could surprise everyone and become the champion. First, we need to wait for tonight’s show to see how Balor’s leg or ankle is doing.
