The booking of Bobby Lashley has been very confusing for a lot of people. Based on his push during his original WWE tenure, most fans assumed he would be receiving a top position and would get the rub from Brock Lesnar on his way out the door. However, he has just floated around the midcard since his return and competed in various rivalries.
On Raw, Bobby Lashley was beaten by Finn Balor with a roll-up. On paper, it was not a big loss and isn’t that important. The WWE Universe still wants to know the reason why WWE made him lose in that situation, especially with Roman Reigns no longer active.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bobby Lashley has been working hurt for a number of weeks and the severity of the injury is unknown. He has been wrestling through a separated should and it’s bad enough that he’s noticeably in pain. However, WWE officials haven’t put him on the shelf yet. It may be manageable.
Unfortunately, Lashley just turned heel alongside Lio Rush and any time off could be a problem. He’s not riding a high wave of momentum right now, but Roman’s absence is a huge opportunity to rise in the company. The WWE Universe knows he has the potential to be a top guy, but his booking makes fans doubt if WWE officials still see him like that.
Bobby Lashley also just turned heel. Heels tend to lose matches like that to babyfaces. It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but WWE officials might not be willing to put any stock into him until he’s healthy. On paper, it may be a good idea to give Lashley some time off.
