WWE’s Tour of Mexico must have had a profound effect on that market because WWE has made significant moves to ensure that there are superstars to meet their expectations.

First at “Hell in a Cell”, Alberto Del Rio returned to become the new United States Champion with a victory over John Cena. Then Del Rio and Zeb Colter proclaim that championship to be the “MexAmerican” title.

Last week, there were rumors of Kalisto being considered a failure because he didn’t live up to fill the spot Rey Mysterio left behind. But then, The Lucha Dragons got a big win last night and could be headed for a bigger push on WWE TV.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, CMLL and NJPW star La Sombra is possibly signing with WWE, which brings in another Luchador into the fold for WWE. La Sombra has been wrestling since 2003 when he was fourteen years old. La Sombra had a tryout with WWE back in 2011 during a Mexican tour.

In his career, La Sombra has been an LLA Azteca Champion and an IWGP Intercontinental Champion. A few months ago, he lost a mask vs. mask match to Atlantis at CMLL’s 82nd Anniversary Show in Mexico. If he signs with WWE, there is no confirmation on whether or not he’d be wearing a mask.
