Christopher Daniels is one of the most underrated wrestlers of this generation. His work for TNA and Ring of Honor is fantastic, and he’s excelled in both promotions as a singles competitor and a tag team specialist.

According to PWTorch and many other sources, “The Fallen Angel” signed an exclusive contract with Ring of Honor Wrestling earlier this week.

The company has been signing many of their current stars to exclusive contracts as of late, and Daniel is the latest star that ROH has signed. Others that have also signed exclusive deals includes the ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, current ROH TV champion Roderick Strong, Jay and Mark Briscoe, The Young Bucks, and Kyle O’Reily and Bobby Fish of reDRagon.

The signed deals with ROH mean that all under these contracts no longer have the option to take indy bookings within the United States or Toronto. They’re free to work internationally through the company’s agent Bill Behrens.

The exclusive contracts are a way of protecting their talent and the promotion from having stars without contracts work tapings for other promotions like James Storm just did with NXT, or like the TNA situation with AJ Styles and others.
