Earlier this week, Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor to become the new NXT Champion at an NXT live event from Lowell, Massachusetts. It was a fantastic idea for the NXT brand and has done wonders for the career of Joe.

It was reported yesterday that The Beast Incarnate will return in late June to WWE for a WWE live event. There is no news on when Brock Lesnar will return to WWE television, but Jim Ross had an idea to combine these two monsters eventually.

On the most recent blog entry from JR, he had the following to say about Samoa Joe’s surprising NXT title win and put the idea for Joe vs. Lesnar got there for Wrestlemania 33 next year in Orlando.

You can read the full blog entry right here. Below is what Ross had to say about Joe vs. Lesnar:

“Congrats to Samoa Joe for winning the NXT Title from Finn Balor. I saw their match in Dallas and it was an old school, fundamentally sound pro wrestling match that made me proud to be in the business. Joe will be a great opponent for Brock Lesnr someday and no matter who WWE decides to have dance with Lesnar at WM33 in Orlando now is the time to start getting that person ready. Book the match in pencil and begin to work toward it while focusing on who Brock will face in a high profile WM33 bout.”

Do you want to see Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe eventually?
