Brie Bella’s retirement has been rumored heavily since Daniel Bryan announced his own retirement back in February. The truth is that her retirement was looming even before that happened.

Today, it became official. Brie Bella’s last night as a full-time performer was at Wrestlemania in the Total Divas vs. Blonde & Bad match on the kickoff show. The finish saw Brie force Naomi to tap out to the “Yes Lock” to call it a career with her sister Nikki and most of the Total Divas cast alongside them.

Brie sent out the following on Instagram after the match:

For such a big moment, WWE kept it relaviely quiet as far as acknowledging the moment as Brie’ last. There are several reasons for that according to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com.

The reason WWE didn’t specifically mention Brie Bella’s retirement at Wrestlemania or on the following episode of Monday Night Raw is Brie’s retirement will become a major storyline for “Total Divas” next season and her exit will be better explained and celebrated on the show.

This is not a permanent goodbye for Brie Bella. It’s more of a reitrement from competition and from a regular spot on WWE programming. Sh’es still make occasional appearances and work with the company when it can be worked out. Both Brie and Daniel Bryan are now going to move on to become parents.

Will you miss Brie Bella in WWE?
