During Wrestlemania weekend, there was a lot of speculation about Bobby Roode’s status with WWE. His brief appearance at NXT Takeover: Dallas caused quite the stir on the internet and soon after, there was a rumor that he had signed a deal with WWE.

The expectation is that he would be a part of NXT. All of this is still possible, but the rumor that he signed was a bit premature.

Bobby Roode has not as of yet signed with WWE officially. It’s obviously happening and is only a matter of time, but the former TNA World Champion recently addressed the rumors during an interview with The Examiner.

You can read the full interview right here. Below are the highlights:

“I’m not officially signed yet. The Internet has blown up over it, and I mean I’m close, but I don’t want to spoil anything or ruin anything. I want to wait until it’s official. I don’t want to jinx anything either.”

It’s not the first time the rumor mill has jumped the gun on a story. It seems like it’s only a matter of time, but it’s going to be very interesting to see Bobby Roode in NXT and there are many matchups that are going to wow crowds.
