The night before “No Mercy,” it was announced that Becky Lynch wouldn’t be able to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship due to an injury unrelated to the ring.

However, Alexa Bliss is set to get her title opportunity on November 8th in Glasgow, but that doesn’t give us much to go as far as Lynch’s status goes for roughly a month.

According to a report from CageSideSeats.com, the SmackDown Women’s Champion is not expected to return to the ring until November 8th.

The jury is still out on if Becky could return to SmackDown before that date in a non-wrestling role, but the odds of her taking any bumps are very unlikely.

As far as the extent of her injury is concerned, the details are being kept very well under wraps, which means that we likely won’t find out what has plagued Lynch’s first Women’s Championship run. For now, Alexa Bliss is going to be carrying the feud.

After her loss at “No Mercy” to Naomi, a lot of speculation is going into her being added to the feud. That would likely take some of the grind of the return match off Becky.

How long do you think Becky Lynch will hold onto the SmackDown Women’s title?
