AJ Styles has established himself as a WWE superstar very quickly. We always knew that he was one of the best wrestlers in the world, but was he a WWE guy?

He’s answered that question in the feud with Chris Jericho, and if WWE plays their cards right, they could have another hugely marketable star that can transcend multiple demographics.

Recently for Triblive.com, Wrestlezone’s Justin Labar did an interview with AJ Styles and asked him about his transition to WWE and how his experience has been so far.

You can read the full interview right here. Below are some of the highlights:

What has your experience with WWE been like so far compared to expectations?

“The pun is intended when I say it’s a phenomenal experience. It’s an amazing place to work and I’m just happy with what’s going on.”

How important was it for you keep the AJ Styles brand alive?

“I think it was just as important to me as it was WWE. I think they noticed that when “I am Phenomenal” popped up on the screen and I haven’t even walked out yet to be seen on Royal Rumble. I haven’t been seen but the fans went nuts and you could hear the reaction. I think it was very important for both parties that we keep that name and it seems to be working out well for both of us.”
