Lana and Rusev Respond to Rumored Backstage Heat

Ever since the news of Lana and Rusev’s engagement was broken by TMZ and WWE was forced to acknowledge it, there have been WWE rumors about Lana having substantial backstage heat with the company. 

It’s been rumored in the past that Lana’s behavior in social media has landed her in some trouble. Only last week, it was reported that Lana was still in the doghouse in WWE since returning from her injury status and was used as an example to prove WWE’s sexism against women. 

Suffice to say, Lana isn’t presented in the best light as far as her image is concerned, but her fiancee Rusev and “The Ravishing Russian” have taken to Twitter to address the “backstage heat” rumors that have been circling the couple for months:

The couple is clearly having some fun with the dirtsheets and podcasts that could potentially be creating rumors about Lana out of thin air. Hopefully, the pair can utilize this heat with the fans and transition it onto WWE television.

The United States Championship title scene is wide open since Kalisto became the champion. Alberto Del Rio has another shot at that title at “Fastlane”, but it would be foolhardy to just give the US title back to Del Rio. Kalisto will need another challenger and it can be Rusev.
