Yes Still: WWE Star Still Under Contract Despite Not Wrestling For Two Years

He’s still around? There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster and occasionally some of them do not get to appear every week. In some cases, there are some who are gone for far longer, to the point where fans might forget that they are there. This time though, a wrestler has not appeared for over two years, but is still a contracted member of the company in a bit of a surprise.

According to Fightful Select, Tyler Breeze is still under contract to WWE, though this is believed to mainly be due to his work on the UpUpDownDown brand. There is no word on what the deal allows or does not allow Breeze to do, though one source said he is not allowed to appear for AEW. Breeze has not wrestled for WWE since June 15 2021, though he is scheduled to wrestle for Prestige Wrestling on September 1. There is nothing to suggest that Breeze will wrestle for WWE again.

Opinion: This is the kind of quirk that can come out of absolutely nowhere and still be rather interesting. Breeze is not likely to be wrestling for WWE again but he had quite a run there while he was around. I could have gone for him getting a stronger push outside of NXT, but the Fashion Files were certainly entertaining. Hopefully Breeze is getting to do what he wants and if that includes getting back in the ring, good for him.
