What could have been. WWE TV has a history of undergoing a variety of changes at the last minute, with Vince McMahon often being blamed for the changes. These switches can create some problems as the original plans can be sent out the window at the last minute. It seems that was the case again this week as there were several last minute changes made to a WWE show.

According to Fightful Select, there were several changes made to this week’s SmackDown, with most of the script being altered just before the show. This involved several matches that had already been announced not taking place, including an advertised LA Knight triple threat. Instead, Knight wound up defeating Rey Mysterio in a singles match. A Charlotte match was also added to the show. According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, the changes resulted in frustration among the wrestlers, with one saying “Did SmackDown get Vinced?” It is not confirmed that McMahon ordered all of the changes.
Plans for #SmackDown have changed throughout the day, leaving many frustrated, with matches announced last week potentially on the chopping block.

It was a busy night. Check out what happened on the show:
Opinion: I can’t say I’m overly surprised by any of this and that is not the best thing to hear. At the end of the day, WWE has an annoying tendency to make these changes, which makes it difficult to keep track of what is coming on the show. Hopefully this isn’t the norm again as it was annoying to see for all of those years. Now we might be seeing it again and that is hardly encouraging.
