Welcome back. Injuries can cause all kinds of problems and you never want to see a wrestler put on the shelf for any length of time. While seeing someone get hurt can be a horrible development, there is something to be said about that wrestler being able to return to the ring. That will be the case again in the near future and now we know a bit more about what is coming.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Him Too? Two Names Reportedly Set To Be Added To Survivor Series WarGames Match
Last month, Bryan Danielson suffered a broken orbital bone during an AEW match. Danielson has since challenged Kazuchika Okada to a match at Wrestle Kingdom on January 1, with Okada accepting. However, this week on AEW Collision, AEW President Tony Khan announced the Continental Classic round robin tournament, with Danielson as one of the competitors. The tournament begins on November 22, though it is not clear when Danielson will wrestle his first match and no other participants were announced.
Danielson will be a tournament favorite. Check out some of his efforts in AEW:
Opinion: That is great to hear, as not only is the tournament a cool idea, but more importantly, it means that Danielson will be back in the ring sooner than later. While that is a very quick turnaround for a broken orbital bone, in theory this means that everything is healed enough for him to wrestle again. Danielson’s health is what matters most, and now we should get to see him in the ring soon.
