Worse than it seems? There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know when you are going to see someone put on the injured list out of nowhere. Ti can be made even more complicated when there is a question over whether or not an injury is legitimate or part of a storyline. That is the same kind of confusion that we have again today with a prominent WWE Superstar.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Couldn’t Help It: A Match At WWE Bad Blood Had To Be Changed On The Fly
Last week on SmackDown, AJ Styles made his return to WWE TV following a several months long absence. However, his match against Carmelo Hayes was stopped due to an ankle injury. This was followed by reports that Styles was fine and that the injury was just part of a storyline, but now there are conflicting reports, including from Sean Ross Sapp, that Styles is legitimately injured. While one of the two spots was said to be part of the storyline, the other was said to have seen Styles actually get hurt. There is no word on when he is expected to return to the ring.
People in WWE claimed this to me today regarding AJ Styles
"The flip where he sold the knee was to be a work. The move where he landed on the knee was legit"
I don't have much of a follow up besides that but hopefully we see AJ soon

Uh oh. Check out what Styles did since his return and a bit before it as well:
Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not see very often and hopefully everything is just part of the storyline. Styles has already been out of action for several months and having him miss even more time after being back in the ring for about ten minutes is far from idea. Styles probably does not have much time left in the ring and seeing him miss even more of it due to an injury would be terrible.
