Yes Now: WWE Makes Last Minute Change To WrestleMania 40 Match

That was fast. We are less than a day away from WrestleMania 40 and in theory that would mean WWE isn’t going to change anything at the last minute. The card has mostly been set for a long time now, though there were some new matches added last week. As it turns out, WWE is going to be making a change to one of the matches, as they did so this week on SmackDown.

At WrestleMania, Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar were scheduled to team against Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee. During SmackDown, Lee was attacked backstage and left laying. Later, Dominik and Escobar attacked Rey and asked Andrade to help them. Instead Andrade attacked Dominik and Escobar, leading to him being inserted into Lee’s place in the WrestleMania tag match.

Opinion: I’m not sure how much sense it makes to do something like this just before WrestleMania, but it does have me wondering if this was planned before Lee was put in. That would seem to be the case, and if so it makes enough sense. Lee is likely going to be a big star in the future, but Andrade is a bigger nae at the moment and deserves the spot that much more.
