Yes/No? Bryan Danielson Offers Health Update, Chances He Will Return To The Ring

There’s a chance. Wrestling is a rather violent and physical sport and at some point you are going to see the toll that it takes on the wrestlers’ bodies. This can lead to a variety of injuries, both short and long term, which can require quite the amount of recovery time. That is what we are seeing with one of the bigger names in modern wrestling and now he is offering an update.

Bryan Danielson has been away from the ring since losing the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream. During an interview at the All In: Texas Countdown event, Danielson revealed that he is still dealing with a neck injury and is hoping to avoid having to undergo surgery to fix the issue. He described the surgery as a last resort and said he would be attempting other methods of repairing the damage. Danielson said that he is currently 50/50 on being able to wrestle again, but if he cannot return, he is comfortable with the result. There is no word on when he could return to the ring, if he is able to do so.

Opinion: This is an interesting bit of hope as Danielson getting back in the ring is quite the great thing to imagine. That being said, unless Danielson can be completely healthy, there is no reason for him to wrestle again. His health is more important than anything else and he does not owe the fans a single thing. Danielson has given us decades of his life and it would be horrible to see things go even worse for him than they already have gone.
