Yes Him: This WWE Release Took Some By Surprise

Yes him. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster but occasionally some of them will be let go. While some of these are expected due to one reason or another, there are some which will come out of nowhere and take people by surprise. There were several releases a few weeks ago and it turns out that one of them came as a surprise to several people at once.

Earlier this month, several NXT wrestlers were released from the company, including Trey Bearhill. According to Fightful Select, his release came as a surprise to several in the company, as it is not clear why he was let go. There had been speculation that Bearhill was let go due to his similarities to Eddy Thorpe but those reports are said to be incorrect. Bearhill only wrestled two televised matches in NXT, losing to Dijak and Lexis King.

Opinion: I can see how the Bearhill release would come as a surprise, as he was one of the rookies who was getting some attention on the main NXT show. He had a short feud with King and while it didn’t go well for him, it was more than a lot of people were getting to do. Maybe there was more to it, but that is kind of a surprising result when he was at least getting a shot.
