Crossover appeal. One of the major changes in WWE over the last few months has been the company allowing its wrestlers to appear in other promotions. This has included both TNA Wrestling and various Japanese promotions, but there have been some other options as well. That has been the case for a rather unique show and now another WWE name will be competing.

Josh Barnett has announced that NXT’s Charlie Dempsey will be participating in Bloodsport XI on July 28 in Brooklyn, New York. Dempsey is the fourth WWE name announced for the card, along with the Creed Brothers and Shayna Baszler. There is no word on if any more WWE stars will be added. Dempsey has also been appearing in TNA Wrestling in recent weeks, in addition to his regular appearances in NXT.

Opinion: This show is almost turning into a co-promoted WWE event at this rate with now four wrestlers from the company on the card. I’m not sure how well it is going to go but it is certainly a major boost to a show that would not have much going on otherwise. It’s nice to see some wrestlers getting a chance to do something else like this and hopefully the trend continues down the road.
