She wasn’t the first choice. The WWE roster is constantly in a state of flux as you don’t know who might show up every now and then. That can make for some interesting changes, but it can also shake things up at the drop of a hat. It can be fascinating to see what the changes mean to WWE, and now we know about what a specific change meant for two people.

The scheduled main event from Night One of WrestleMania 38 was SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte defending against Ronda Rousey. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rousey took Sasha Banks’ spot when she returned, sending Banks into a tag team with Naomi. Banks and Naomi went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania while Charlotte retained over Rousey.

Opinion: This is something that makes sense, as Rousey only returned to WWE about two and a half months before WrestleMania. I’m not sure when her deal with the company was ready, but you have to think that WWE had another plan in mind before she debuted on television. It seems that Banks was that plan, and maybe she can get back into the spot at some point in the future.

What do you think of Rousey taking Banks’ place? Which one will be Women’s Champion again first? Let us know in the comments below.
