They have a lot to pick from. There are a lot of wrestling matches on any given week and a lot of them are from WWE. With so many television shows as well as pay per views, WWE has a lot of matches to present every week and some of them are going to keep your attention. That is the kind of thing that you get to see receive the special treatment now and then, which is what WWE has done.

While this has been a strange year for WWE, they have still had a great selection of matches. Some of these were at the bigger shows of the year but there were others that aired on free television. Then on top of that there is always NXT, which offers another place to find some incredible action. With just over half of the year complete, WWE is looking back at the first part of the year and they have some great things to see.

WWE has released a list of the top ten matches of 2020 so far, with the most recent taking place on July 8. There are matches from both pay per view and television, with NXT being included on the list as well. Three of the matches feature more than two people and three of them have special rules aside from a traditional match. Here is the list, as released on

10. Matt Riddle vs. Timothy Thatcher – First-ever NXT Fight Pit (NXT, May 27)

9. Keith Lee vs. Adam Cole – Winner Take All (NXT Great American Bash, July 8)

8. Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches (Money in the Bank, May 10)

7. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair – NXT Women’s Championship (WrestleMania 36, April 5)

6. Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins – WWE Championship (Money in the Bank, May 10)

5. Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles – Intercontinental Championship (SmackDown, June 12)

4. Men’s Royal Rumble Match (Royal Rumble, Jan. 26, 2020)

3. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Io Shirai – NXT Women’s Championship (NXT TakeOver: In Your House, June 7)

2. Edge vs. Randy Orton (Backlash, June 14)

1. Undertaker vs. AJ Styles – Boneyard Match (WrestleMania 36, April 4)

There are some great ones in there. Check out some of the best moments:

Opinion: I’m not entirely sure what the point of something like this is in the middle of July but this is the kind of thing that always works for at least a quick look. What they have is good enough, but you can pick and choose your list for something like this for a long time. WWE and NXT have had some awesome matches this year and hopefully that continues as we wrap things up.

Do you agree with the list? What is your #1 match so far this year? Let us know in the comments below.
