They have a plan for that. We are less than two weeks away from Clash Of Champions but there are several other pay per views still to come later this year. With so many things left to go, it is hard to say where some feuds are going to go as we wrap the year up. That being said, there is a certain SmackDown feud that is looking rather interesting and now we know where it is heading.
Earlier this month, Bayley turned on Sasha Banks to end their partnership and friendship, but also to set up what seems to be a big time match down the line. The problem is that Banks may be on the shelf for a long time to come due to the beatdown, but that doesn’t mean there are not plans. Banks is already scheduled to be back on next week’s SmackDown, and now we know where things are leading.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Bayley vs. Banks will likely take place inside Hell In A Cell at the event of the same name on October 25. Bayley is already scheduled to defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Nikki Cross at Clash Of Champions on September 27. There is no word on when the Cell match will be announced or if Banks will wrestle again before then.
It was a long road to the Cell. Check out how things have gone down between the two of them:
Opinion: This is about all they could do as I can’t imagine stretching the feud out that much longer. The Cell does seem like a big deal for the first match in a program but the history is already there between the two. They have had all kinds of matches in NXT and on the main roster, so see what they can do in the big structure. It isn’t something I would want to see all the time, but this is a special case.
