The best of the best. There are a lot of criticisms against WWE and one of the biggest is the fact that they have too much television in a given week. With three hours of Monday Night Raw and two hours each for SmackDown and NXT, there are seven hours of prime time television every single week. There has to be something worthwhile on these shows and WWE is going looking for them.
Despite what you might remember, there were some good things taking place in WWE in 2020. The company was dealing with some rather difficult situations but did the best with what they had. Some things did not exactly work but there were moments that came off as better than others. That is what WWE is looking at this week as we finally leave 2020 behind.
Forbes.com has released a list of the most liked WWE YouTube videos of 2020. The list includes the top ten clips based on the amount of YouTube likes that the videos received. Only clips that took place in 2020 were included. Of note, Forbes released a similar list last week with the most disliked WWE YouTube videos of 2020. One video made both lists and happened to wind up in the #5 spot both times.
Here is the top ten with the number of likes:
1. Edge Returns At 2020 Royal Rumble (434,000)
2. Retribution Attacks Braun Strowman (265,000)
3. Braun Strowman Flips Van w/Miz and John Morrison Inside (179,000)
4. Becky Lynch Announces Pregnancy (178,000)
5. Roman Reigns Feeds Baron Corbin Dog Food (154,000)
6. Roman Reigns Turns Heel (134,000)
7. Braun Strowman Gorilla-Press Slams Alexa Bliss (122,000)
8. Unseen Footage Of Edge’s Royal Rumble Return (113,000)
9. Roman Reigns Breaks Down In Tears vs. Jey Uso (113,000)
10. Jey Uso Confronts Roman Reigns (111,000)
That’s a heck of a list. Check out the top three:
Opinion: There are a lot of interesting things here, and the fact that Reigns is in four of the top ten spots tells you a lot about how much interest there is in him. I know he might not be the most popular star in the world at times, but he certainly gets some attention from a lot of fans and WWE knows they need to capitalize on that situation. Throw in Edge’s feel great return moment and it is a rather nice top ten to wrap up a pretty rotten year.
