They aren’t fans. WWE is now officially owned by Endeavor and that means things have been changing in a hurry. There are several names coming in and going out from the company, which has made for a pretty big shakeup over the last few months. Those changes have been continuing in recent weeks and now one such change is drawing something of a backlash.

As of the beginning of the year, Kevin Dunn, WWE’s longtime head of production, has departed the company. Lee Fitting has since been hired to replace Dunn as the new Head of Media and Production. According to PWInsider.com, Fitting’s hiring was not well received with some backstage in WWE. There are concerns about an outsider being brought in to lead the department rather than a previous team member, as well as the chance that Fitting could bring in his own people, leading to layoffs. There is nothing to suggest that layoffs in the department are coming anytime soon.

Opinion: This is the kind of change that is going to take place at some point and there is little that can be done about it. The production department undergoing a major change like this has not been seen in decades and this is quite the shakeup for WWE. I’m curious to see what it is going to mean, but we might be seeing a rather different look from WWE in the near future.
