It does kind of fit. There are very few forms of entertainment like professional wrestling. You have all of the different emotions that go into a show, but ultimately it is a bunch of muscular people in ridiculous outfits fighting each other in an over the top contest. That can make for some interesting moments, and now the biggest promotion in the world is branching out into something similar.

According to Dateline, WWE is partnering with MGM to relaunch American Gladiators, with a variety of WWE stars appearing on the show. The series a competition style show featuring a roster of athletes competing against contestants in athletic events, originally aired from 1989 – 1996 and was relaunched in 2008, with Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali as hosts. There is no word on when or where the show will air or which WWE names will be attached.

There are some names who could do quite well on this kind of a show. Check out some WWE stars who could fight right in:

Roman Reigns vs. Montez Ford: SmackDown, Sept. 24, 2021

Franky Monet makes her in-ring debut: WWE NXT, May 25, 2021

Big E cashes in to become WWE Champion: Raw, Sept. 13, 2021

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could to rather well, as competition shows are an easy form of entertainment and WWE fits in perfectly. It would make a lot of sense to put something like this together and I could go for it all day. I watched American Gladiators when I was a kid and I certainly watched a lot of wrestling, so putting the two of them together sounds great.

What do you think of the idea? Which WWE stars would fit in on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
