That’s a different way to go. Wrestlers need to have the right gimmick to make things work out for them as well as possible. Having the wrong name or character can wreck a wrestler’s potential and that is one of the worst things that can take place. Unfortunately it happens more often than it should, but WWE is making an adjustment to one of its newer stars.

Last week on SmackDown, Max Dupri walked away from the Maximum Male Models after being sick of them not being serious enough. Dupri also used his former “YEAH” catchphrase from his time as LA Knight in NXT. According to PWInsider.com, Dupri is internally listed as Knight and will be using that gimmick going forward. The rest of the Maximum Male Models will be continuing without Dupri.

Opinion: Good, as the Dupri stuff never really worked out for Knight. I’m not sure what the point was in having Knight become someone completely different when he could still be his old self and do the Models stuff. This might not be the big secret that he needs to change everything, but it is certainly a move in the right direction. At least now he has a chance and that wasn’t really the case as Dupri.

What do you think of the change? How will it go for Knight? Let us know in the comments below.
