So much for that. Tag teams are a strange case in WWE and that has been the case for a very long time. It often seems that WWE puts tag teams together for the sake of splitting them up, which can cause a lot of confusion and issues down the line. Every now and then you get a team who sticks around and has success, but that does not seem to be the case with a now former team.
Back in February, the Street Profits won the Raw Tag Team Titles, which they have held for almost eight months. During that time, their longest feud has been against Andrade and Angel Garza, who have never been able to win the titles. This has caused some issues between the two, and now it seems that one of those issues is going to be a little too much for the team to survive.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has decided to officially split up Garza and Andrade, ending the team for good. This comes after the two lost a Tag Team Title match at Clash Of Champions when Garza suffered an injury which caused the match to end early. Garza has said that he will be out of action for a few weeks, during which time WWE decided to end the team. There is no word on how much impact the injury had on determining the split.
The team worked while they lasted. Check out what they did together:
Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise as the team never won the Tag Team Titles and had one argument after another. They were good together, but with Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler back together after a long absence, there isn’t as much of a need for Andrade/Garza. That being said, maybe it would be nice to have more than two or three teams together at a time on the show.
